What Causes Recurring Infection In Ear Post Tympanoplasty?

My son, 17, had a tympanomastoidectomy on Oct 27. Surgery lasted almost 5 hours. He was given antibiotics after. A week later antibiotics were changed because of infection of incision. It got better. Three weeks later, more antibiotics as onfection returned. Weeks later, it abscessed and he was hospitalized for two days with iv and oral antibiotics. Three weeks later, now today, infection is coming back????

it may be resistant infection. culture and sensitivity may be done so that proper antibiotic can be given. can consult the surgeon who has operated
