I am male 38 yrs. Feeling itchy in growin area since last 6 months. Some times during intercourse just below the penis top, skin becomes damaged slightly. However it recovers in 2 to 3 days automatically. In growin area by applying candid b, itching gets reduced. However if starts itching again in a week or two. Kindly advice for permanent solution.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi..
thanks for writing to us.
I understand your concern.
itching in groin area is most likely due to Jock Itch which is caused by fungal infection. this fungus grows and spreads in groin which is warm and moist.
I would suggest a combination of an antifungal like clotrimazole with a steroid hydrocortisone cream for four weeks applied daily twice in the affected area.
Also keep the area dry and clean. wear cotton underwear and do not repeat them without washing.
hope my answer helped. feel free to write back.
