What Causes Recurring Left Sided Pain In The Heart?
I am. 76 years old ..female , I take Ampolodine 10 mgPravastatin 20mg.. Levothyroxine 0.05 mg one half pill 50mcg.. I have little pains on left side over my heart., they last a few seconds .. They started yesterday , last a few minutes then go away.. .. Just had a few pains today but they didn t last long .. Should I worry. I have always been pretty healthy .. No surgeries .. Skin cancers mostly squamous on my lower legs. I lived in S Fl for over 40 years, played golf and tennis . Thanks for help Jody
I do see that you have the diagnoses of high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol. These do raise my concern level regarding what could be causing your symptoms. Several questions for you that would be helpful are whether or not you have had a recent stress test (walking on a treadmill), and specifically what you were doing when the discomfort started. This would give me some perspective. I do feel it would be beneficial to inform your family doctor about these episodes and if they return I would advise you to go to the ED for an evaluation. This is never a bad idea.
