What Causes Recurring Lumps On The Upper Lip?

my upper lip has been getting these small flesh colored bumps on it. the bump is not noticeable and does not cause pain and only lasts a couple of days. once it goes away it will reappear a couple of days later in a different spot on my upper lip only on the left side.

As per your complain recurring lumps on the upper lip that are painless and does not cause any discomfort but recurs every after a few days can be due to causes like allergic reaction to any lip cosmetic or can be due to herpes simplex virus 1 infection causing cold sores..

For a confirmatory diagnosis, you should consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly..

In case of allergic reaction anti allergics like benadryl or Levocetrizine and avoiding exposure to the allergen once it is detected in the blood test can be done to resolve the recurrences..

In case of viral infection oral and topical antiviral medicines like Acyclovir can be advised..
