What Causes Recurring Nasal Bleeds, Sinus Pain And Pain In Ear?

I just used ear wax remover drops as recommendeded by my doctor and experienced excruciating pain for the second time. Its so painful afterwards for days especially right now. I am planning to see ENT this week Ive been having bloody nose, sinus pain and now again ear pain. What do you think could be causing this pain? Any recommendations?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The commonest cause of ear pain can be one of the following:
Reaction to the ear drops you used.
Or can be due to fluid build up in the middle ear due to infection in Eustachian tubes, sinusitis or so.
The nasal bleed indicates a possibility of infection in nose and sinuses.
All the can be diagnosed by the following:
ENT examination.
CT scan of the nose and sinuses.
Tests of blood for CBC, other functions as would be advised.
Removal; of wax to see for the condition of wax if the pain allows.
Instill Otrivin nasal drops followed by plain water steam in halation.
Further management with antibiotics, decongestants, anti-inflammatory medicines will be as per the final findings.
Do not blow nose.
Take rest in a warm room.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
