My husband has been experiencing extreme nausea and dizziness. It comes and goes. Starting 12/30/15 he felt slightly nauseated in the morning. Approximately 2 hours later while shopping he immediately began to feel very nauseas and dizzy. He had ringing in his ears and had a cold sweat and felt like he was going to pass out. He did NOT pass out, and was able to go to the car and lay down (this was the beginning of his illness). He has felt like this on and off since, with 2 more similar episodes in the Dr. office on 12/31/15 and again at home on 1/1/16. The one on 1/1/16 took us to the ER where they ran an upper chest x-ray, full CBC, monitored his heart rate, pulse and reviewed his blood sugar. Also giving a flu and strep A test......all tests came back fine. However, he is progressively weak everyday with feeling nauseated constantly now. He has not shown any other symptoms (no: headache, body ache, fever, chills, ear pain, or any other symptoms). He has regular bowl movements and is urinating often (I have been pushing the fluids). WHAT COULD THIS BE? It seems to be getting worse with minimal relief. He was prescribed azithromyicin as an antibiotic, Zofran for nausea and Meclizine for dizziness. None which seem to affect him. NOTE: He did have some congestion and drainage in his throat starting 12/26/15 but has subsided as of 12/30/15.
