What Causes Recurring Nausea While On Medication For Arthritis?

My husband has been suffering with nausea on and off for over a year. He takes Percocet s for rhuematory arthritis as well as stellara. He has for the past few months abused his prescriptions to calm his stomach and has come up short for the past few months as well. I know with drawls can do that but it never goes away. He has an ultra sound and a CT scan this past week and they showed no abnormalities except a horse shoe shaped kidney. Everything seems ok. what might be a cause?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to the side effects of Percocet.

I suggest taking this medication as prescribed by your doctor. I also suggest taking Reglan three times a day for nausea.

I recommend to eat healthily and avoid food that can trigger the stomach.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
