What Causes Recurring Night Sweats, Hot Flushes And Extreme Fatigue?

For the past 5 months I have been having heavy night sweats and hot flashes with profuse sweating,to where ir looks like I just got out of the shower my hair is soaked through and through also the past 4 weeks have lost all energy as I have been a very energetic man all my life, I take prozac and have done so for a few years for minor deppresion. The energy level is what is scaring me. I can sleep 12 hours a day where uo until 5 weeks ago I was at 7 hours per day average. I am 56 years old and pretty much have been healthy all my life

Hi,

Idiopathic hyperhidrosis is a condition in which the body chronically produces too much sweat without any identifiable medical cause. Infections. But bacterial infections, such as endocarditis (inflammation of the heart valves), osteomyelitis (inflammation in the bones), and abscesses can cause night sweats.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
