What Causes Recurring Occurrence Of Blood In Urine?
Hi my name is Jim I m 60 yo my urologist is monitoring my prostrate however once every 3-4 months I see a little pinkish blood in my urine. FYI my Dr had me take a CT scan also he scoped out the tip of my penis question why do I still get blood could it be an infection that needs antibiotics?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. There can be lot of problems that can causes recurrent blood in urination.
1.Most common is Urinary tract infection. Urine examination would be done. Presence of Pus cells , tissue and red blood cell will suggest infection. Antibiotics will be needed. Drinking ample amount of fluid also helps. 2. Stones in the kidney, bladder or ureter may cause bleeding if small stone gets passed through urinary tract. 3.Benign prostatic hyperplasia is enlargement of prostrate gland. once prostrate gland becomes large it causes obstruction to flow of urine & bleeding in some cases 4.Other uncommon kidney and Urinary tract problem including tumor.
So you should visit your urologist, if problem persist or reoccurs
Don't worry you would be fine Hoping your query is solved.
