Hi Dr. From last 4 days my father is facing a severe pain below or near the rib cage He goes to walk everyday in morning and 4 day ago while he was walking, he realized a pain near the rib cage. He sat on a chair and some burp came(gas came out from mouth with sound) after that he was normal. Again next day also when he went on walk he felt the same problem. From yesterday whenever he walk even 200 meter then a severe pain occurs near his rib cage.Age of my father is 45 years. What the problem??
Hi...Can understand your concern...As per your query about pain below the ribcage can be due to gastritis or there is also possibility of having a gall bladder stone...As you mentioned that he got relief after some burping but since it is happening frequently and making the walks difficult you should have an ultrasound or an endoscopy for getting a correct diagnosis..I advice you to avoid chilly and spices ,tea coffee or smoking and have light easy digesting and fibre rich diet..Pantoprazole 40 mg tablets should be taken ..consult a physician for further treatment on the basis of investigation..I hope the information helps you...Take care.
