What Causes Recurring Pain In Knee Joints?

Why do my knee joints hurt? Pain radiates from knee joint to lower whole limb of sometimes one limb or both. This happens anytime and never predictable, but mostly in evenings, like 6 or 4 times in two months, has been on for 12 years now. The pain goes overnight or two days. Maximum, no pain killer can reduce it. I m so worried, thank you

Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM. One thing that is commonly overlooked with knee pain is where in the "kinetic chain" it is originating from...the feet. If the biomechanics (the way our feet are when we walk) are off even slightly, compensation can occur in the knees and over time, can overload them or add stress to already painful joints. This may be one aspect to look into, either with xrays or orthotics (to readjust the biomechanics). It is recommended to ask your knee specialist regarding this approach.
Thank you.
