What Causes Recurring Pain In Lower Jaw And Chest?

Saturday I experienced pain in my lower jaw on the right side and simultaneous pain that started in the middle of my chest and radiated around to the middle of my back on the left side. I chewed two baby aspirin and the pain stopped. I could breathe, it just felt better during the pain to not breathe. I ve experienced this before and went to my dr. who prescribed Prilosec. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Could be another hyperacidity attack or acid reflux. Advise to take over the counter PPIs and antacids.

If still, no improvement should consult further with a cardiologist to rule out possible cardiovascular event.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
