What Causes Recurring Pain In Lower Left Side Of Head And Base Of Skull?

For the past few weeks, I ve had a pain in the lower left corner of my head, top of neck, base of skull-area. It comes & goes, but has been lingering for the past 2-3 days. Ice feels good while it s applied but doesn t help in the long term. Asprin doesn t do anything for it. Hurts to turn my head. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I believe it can be related to cervical spondyloarthrosis. You can better use warm compresses. Take ibuprofen or naproxen for pain. Physical therapy is also helpful.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
