Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurring Pain In Lower Right Abdomen?
I am female, 70 yrs old still have female parts. Have been having pain in lower right abdomen that comes and goes, is often relieved if I lay flat, worse if bend over. Started 5 days ago, expected to go away on its own. Moved bowels every day but lessor quantity than seems usual, not yet today. Would you recommend a laxative?
The symptoms can be related to appendicitis. I recommend doing an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment. Meanwhile, I would recommend using anti-inflammatory medication for the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
