What Causes Recurring Pain In Pelvic Area And Diarrhea During Pregnancy?

I m 23 weeks pregnant and have been having a lot of pelvic and hip pain in the last month. I m not sure this is related, but tonight I have had numerous bouts of watery diarrhea, I feel nauseous and just uncomfortable. I took Imodium about thirty minutes ago. What else can I do to feel better?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Nausea and watery diarrhea are probably due to gastrointestinal tract infection. Pelvic pain needs to be investigated to look for well being of the developing baby. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
