Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having chest wall pain. It started at night around 2:00 am. This morning I had to go to the emergency room and the doctor said the I can take a pain reliever such as ibuprofen. I took myloxicam in the morning which gave me some relief. However my pain has started again and I am worried about night time as I could not sleep yesterday night at all. What can I do for the night? Tomorrow morning I will see my own doctor.
You have mentioned that you are having chest wall pain. Do you have any history of trauma to that region or did you lift any heavy weights which may have caused a muscle pull? You should get an ECG done just to rule out any cardiac causes. Meanwhile, you can take a painkiller like Tramadol to relieve pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman,
