Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my fingers both hands. No arthritis of rheumatoid arthritis detected in XR, it was exp[lained to me it is similar to tendonitis. I had one shot in the left hand at the base of the middle finger. Pain was gone for about three months. How to prevent pain to reoccur?
Tendon inflammation can be of local reason if unilateral, but both sides seem to be from systemic cause more likely.
There can be possible immunology related issue and same has to be evaluated with the presence of specific antibodies or antigens in PCR or other lab analysis so that future episodes can be prevented once the reason is found out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
