What Causes Recurring Pain In The Upper Back And Rib Cage?

Hi I am a 30 year old female and have been having sudden upper back pain accompanied by pain on both sides of my rib cage for at least 15 years now and I haven t been able to get a diagnosis. The weirdest part about this sudden severe pain is that if I drink a lot of cold water very quickly the pain goes away. Do u have any ideas what this might be?

Hi, would like to know what all investigations you have undergone in last 15 years. More detailed history would help us to have a better picture of your condition.
In the meantime, I would suggest you to take an anatcid in combination with an anti-emetic preferably Pantoprazole 40mg + Domperidone as this looks more of a gastritis to me.
