What Causes Recurring Pain On Right Side Of Body?

I am a 66 year old male. About a year ago I fell and hurt my right side. It took about 3 weeks for me to be able to return to work as the pain was real bad. I thought this problem had gone away, but recently I have noticed the pain sometimes comes back although not nearly as severe. My concern is that perhaps there is something else going on besides just some bruised ribs from a year ago, like maybe some liver damage or worse. I haven't noticed any yellow patches of skin or the whites of my eyes and the pain is not constant, mostly when I am tired or on my feet for long periods. I am real tired most of the time however this problem existed long before I fell. My urine does not seem to be dark brown and my stool seems normal, however I do have some problems with itching. Please give me your feedback.
Thanks
