What Causes Recurring Pain On The Left Side Of The Abdomen?

I am having pain on the left side of my abdomen. It feels muscular in that the pain is usually low level when sitting or standing, but it increases significantly when trying to bend over or making sudden movements. When laying down, there is not pain so it does not bother me when sleeping.

The most common causes in this are are diverticulitis or stomach and spleen issues.It would be good to do gastroscopy for further evaluation and ctscan.
