What Causes Recurring Pain Under The Left Ribcage With Increased Appetite?

Hi Doc! I am currently having pain underneath my left of side of the rib cage. This has happened a few times in the past few months. Every time it happens, I pretty much can t move, can t breath, can t eat... because when I do I feel the pain sharpens. I m an athlete (swimmer/runner). I drink lots of water; I don t drink, don t smoke, and don t eat unhealthy and greasy foods. What I ve noticed is that I feel that my body has stopped absorbing foods sufficiently than before (ever since I spent a few weeks a year ago, plunging myself into drinking fresh fruit smoothies with milk, which I am lactose intolerant). And when I noticed the gas built up I stopped completely. At any rate, =these past few months, I feel like I m almost always hungry (even though I eat the same food as before), and my fecal matters ALWAYS float, and mostly feel constipated. Desperately need help with your advice. Hien
