Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurring Palpitations, Elevated Pulse And Blood Pressure?
I have just received a report from a recent 48 hr Holter monitor( ordered from a new physician for me) as I was experiencing many episodes of heart fluttering, rapid pulse and elevated blood pressure lasting about 1 week before I called and also during the 48 hr testing. I have been told that everything was normal, no worries. THankfully, the fluttering and BP have settled down.... but no reply from the nurse as to how to interpret this episode. I am on Lotensin/HCTZ and have recently begun metformin for newly diagnosed NIDDM (A1C was 6.5 late December fasting 130). any thoughts..?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the test report of is unremarkable then this is nothing to worry, what ever the symptoms that you are having could be due to some functional conditions anxiety, depression, stress, try to come out of this, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
