What Causes Recurring Penile Discharge After Intercourse?
I had an unprotected sex 3 days ago and since then, i have been seeing a discharge from my penis since 2 days now (symptoms of gonorrhea) i started receiving treatment yesterday (ciprofloxacin and nitrofurantoin) Question: Will it be enough to treat the gonorrhea infection How long will it take to treat or cure the infection during the treatment, i still see the discharge and feel sting pain, when will it stop?
Based on the history you have shared, though clinical diagnosis of gonorhea was suspected but it would have been good to get a culture and sensitivity of discharge before starting antibiotics. The symptoms will relive once antibiotics effects will start and more fluids and citrosoda sachet may help with burning. However, if ineffective other possibilities like chlamydia may be ruled out. Azithromycin or injectable ceftriaxone may be needed in that case. Meanwhile barrier methods or till recovery precautions of intercourse may be followed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
