What Causes Recurring Redness With Occasional Stinging Sensation In The Eye?

My left eye goes in and out of being completely red. I have tried different eye drops, changing eye makeup, contacts, face lotions, washer pillow cases, and just wearing my glasses for a few days. It just goes away on its own after a few days, but will return maybe 2 1/2 weeks later. It doesn t hurt or cause pain except for occasionally stinging (similar to how your eyes feel with allergies). I don t know what to do. Any thoughts?

You could try using anti histamine eye drops. From the history it seems that you might be allergic to something? probably eye liner/ make up . If the problem persists, do consult an ophthalmologist
