What Causes Recurring Ringworm Infection In A Child?
My 6 year old grandson keeps coming up with ringworm on his body. And appears to have psoriasis on his head that doesn t seem to heal, not sure if it is ringworm or just a secondary item. Can it be in the blood stream that effects this type of thing?

Hi dear....I understand , the terrible itch must be bothering your grandson alot. First, check to see if theres a lot of dandruff on his scalp. If yes a mild anti dandruff shampoo can keep away. Since you arent sure its ringworm or psoriasis, definitely a blood work up.. a complete blood profile can help you rule out other infection. Clotrimazole (try this first) / hydrocortisone cream may be applied topically over the area. Calamine can give some itch relief at night. Also give your little one, tab.albendazole 400mg just one tablet once. Hope this helps.Take care.If the symptom persists, do meet a dermatologist.
