Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a sharp pain in my taint area. I guess it would be near my prostate. It happens maybe once or twice a month and lasts maybe 15 seconds or so and usually happens after I urinate. I ve been wondering what it could be. I m a 26 year old male also.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sharp perineum pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like pudenda nerve, ejactulary duct obstruction, benign prostatic hypertrophy , postpartum, ischiorectal abscess, perineural cyst, prostatitis , ovarian cysts or appendicitis . I would suggest you to consult general surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , physical examination to check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may recommend surgical excision of cyst , prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
