What Causes Recurring Sharp Pain On Pelvic Groin Area With Tiny Spots On Body?

I m 67 yrs. I have sharp pain on my left pelvic-groin area from time to time. It goes away in 5-10 minutes. I weigh 78 lbs. due to chronic back/neck area since 1993. Last week I went to the E.R. for large purple itchy marks, all blood work fine. They suggested a biopsy. I am experiencing new tiny spots all over that don t itch.

Hello,

Recurring sharp pain in the groin commonly occurs due to a hernia, UTI, muscle strain, etc.

You are suggested to get examined by a GP, he may ask you to do CBC, X-ray, test for a hernia. Get assesses & evaluated get treated at the earliest.

Avoid getting injured & maintain a low BMI. For pain take Ibuprofen.

Tiny spots appearing all over the body can be Keratosis Pilaris, consult a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
