Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had shingles twice now and in the same spot, but 14 yrs ago I had a high white blood count that never went away and wasn t sick. I went to a cancer Dr and she said it was just me. When I get a surgery I have to get a note that I m not sick. What do you think could be going on?
Shingles happen due to varicella virus which can reoccur at a certain age despite vaccination. You can get vaccinated also for shingles and this will make you have fewer episodes and fewer symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
