What Causes Recurring Sore Throat And Swollen Glands Post Antibiotic Treatment?

My husband just got done taking antibiotics and steroids for a sore throat, fever, aches @ pain. Our Dr p
rescribe amoacillion. He finished them last Monday and now he came home with a sore throat @ states his glands feel swollen. Could this be his tonsils

As per your complain it seems that he has a recurring throat infection leading to Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis or there is a possibility that the previous infection was not completely healed and it has got flared up again..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clincial evaluation and investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis..
He can be advised to take another course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, suck throat lozenges and do warm saline gargles..
Steam inhalations and using a humidifier can help..
You should avoid spicy and chilled foods and drink plenty of warm water..
