I get sore throats every 2 weeks or so, and it really effects my education. And today I had the day off with a mild sore throat and my dad wants to take me to the doctors, I don t know what they ll say because at the moment its not too bad because i ve had some antibiotics.
Possible causes for recurrent sore throat is: 1. Post nasal discharge 2. Allergy due to pollen 3. Sinusitis 4. Poor immunity status 5. Incomplete recovery from infection
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Avoid air conditioned rooms. Get it done throat swab culture and sensitivity. Use tablet Amoxicillin and Clavulinic acid 625 mg for five days. Please review with reports or consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
