What Causes Recurring Spasms In Right Leg With Pain In Right Calf?

Im 57 female. I had severe spasms in my left calf 2 yrs ago and have just had chronic spasms in my right leg which lasted 5 weeks and now just get aches in my right calf. The doctor had me on baclofen. I also take madopar for restless legs. I get tingling on the top of my left foot as well. Any ideas. I have been taking magnesium for 2 yrs

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurring spasms in right leg with pain in right calf . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like muscle cramp , shin splints , tendinitis , blood clot , multiple sclerosis , not having enough potassium, calcium, and other minerals in your blood , dehydration . Sometimes the symptoms also occur due to deficiency of vitamin E . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon to discuss the condition . Doctor may prescribe , muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory , vitamin supplement like vitamin E and physical therapy . For now keep tour leg in hot water tub with one spoon of water for 15 minutes daily and take proper rest .
