What Causes Recurring Spotting Post Intake Of Regestrone?
Hi, Every month I used to get my periods between 19-21 of every month. But last month it got postponed & I got my periods on 28th Sept. This month i have to attend a very important pooja on 31st Oct. So I started with Regestrone 5 mg on 25th Oct. 1 tab in the morning. But on 26th aftn I saw some spottings. My Dr adviced me to take it twice a day to.stop the periods. So frm 26th I m on 2 tabs per day. But even then I see slight spotting. What should I do? Will this 2 tabs dose help me to postponed my periods till 1st Nov? Pls hlp....I have to attend the pooja.
10 mg per day is the right dose of Regestrone in order to postpone the period. It is normal to have some spotting because your body needs to get used of the hormonal changes that the medicine is causing.
The period will most probably start at the moment that you stop the medicine. So keep using it until the desired time.
I would not recommend using it regularly, because you may cause a hormonal disbalance in your body and then irregular periods, and problems with ovulation after.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
