Hi there, I get staph infections on a fairly regular basis, and it is becoming a big problem for me. I've seen a couple of doctors about it, but they just keep giving me antibiotics. I'm wondering if the fact that I work at a tattoo/piercing shop (so am always around broken skin) is contributing to this, and if I should see a dermatologist. (My info: female, 30, 5'2, 120Lbs, history of skin problems)
hello yes. being a tattoo artist does expose you to the skin infections like staph and strep. you are therefore advised to take precautions and in case the recurrence in more than twice in a month, then you should consult a dermatologist.
