What Causes Recurring Strokes?

A friend of mine just had a 2nd stroke in the last 3 months. 1st was a mini stroke and 2nd JUST occurred. Neither do I know of what type the 1st was except was advised it was a mini. Thanks, in advance, for your opinion even though I have not provided you with very little specific info.

Have you heard of heart attack? Stroke is basically Brain attack. It happens either because of hemorrhage (bursting of a blood vessel - cause is high BP) or a clot (cause is increase bad cholesterol) in the blood vessel in the brain.
Talk to your doctor - he/she will prescribe a blood thinner. Don't skip your meds. Physiotherapy & Occupational therapy treatments will help regain lost strength and movement.
