What Causes Recurring Swelling In The Lips And Tongue?
lately I've been experiencing extreme swollen lips and tongue. I am assuming it's a food allergy and I'm trying to keep track of what I eat to determine what the cause may be, but I just can't seem to pinpoint this. Are there any test that can be done for this? How can I determine the cause of this?
- Avoid hot and acidic food as it will increase your symptoms and use orabase gel for itchiness.
- Maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing with supersoft brush and rinsing with antimicrobial mouthwash.
- You can take antiviral medications like Acyclovir along with Ibuprofen for pain.
You should consult dentist for proper examination and to find out exact cause . Doctor may perform oral prophylaxis and may refer you to oral pathologist depending upon the diagnosis. You can go for allergen test and can start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
