What Causes Recurring Swelling In Tonsils Post Treatment For Strep Throat?

My son had strep throat the first week of March, took antibiotics for two weeks and the got it again. He finished antibiotics for the second time last week and now his tonsils are very swollen with large red veins on them. Should I take him in again? I have a picture where you can kind of see them, he is 3 so it is challenging to get him to sit still.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of recurring swelling in tonsils post treatment for strep throat which seems to be due to lower immunity of your body. Body has become more susceptible and prone to get infected with streptococcus which is a very common occurrence. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take Recofast plus capsule 3 times a day. You should avoid intake of sharp, spicy and fried food substances. Take multivitamin rich in vitamin B Jathrin tablet once daily. Take this course for 3 days you will be better. Do betadine gargles at least 3 times a day. You need not to get them removed. Simply follow this and improve your general immunity. You will be better.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
