my son is 18 and in athletics, about 3 months ago his left testicle swelled and ER classified it as hydocele, took him to urologist and everything was normal. Of course his symptoms had subsided but the time we got to urologists. He is only running right now in wrestling due to a minor knee injury that he has, came home from practice and said he was swelled up in testicle again. I have given him 800mg of ibuprofen and have ice pack on affected area. He is healthy and takes no routine medications, does not do drugs or alcohol.
