Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurring Tunnel Visions, Swelling In Right Eye And Sharp Headache?
The last couple of months I have on and of tunnel vision about twice a month. Now in the last month I had tunnel vision about twice a week. There is a swelling on my right eye accompanied by a sharp head ache at the back of my head close to my neck on the right side.
As per my clinical experience, the tunnel vision on recurrent episode indicates inflammation induced edema or compression over the parts of retina with secondary changes in peripheral vision. These types of conditions are auto immune related in most of the instances.
However, in my clinic, I do recommend thorough ophhthalmologic examination with lab evaluation of certain antibodies to look into the cause of the same.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
