What Causes Recurring Urinary Tract Infection In A Kid?

My daughter is 3yrs 4 months.Last week she got urine infection.Urine deposit and culture report shown the infection and Dr prescribed Taxim o forte.Dr ask to give 3.5ml-0-3.5ml for 7 days. I gave it for 6 days as kid was doing good.But after stopping the dose after one day again the kid got urine infection.The scanning report came clear.Everything is normal then why again the infection is back.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
If the infection is back even after treatment with antibiotics, then it indicates that there is resistance to the drug administered.
If urine culture and sensitivity test is done, another course of antibiotics for which the organisms are sensitive needs to be given.
In the mean time, you need to give good quantity of fluids and citrus fruit juices also along with the specified course of antibiotics.
