Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My one year old grandson has developed red, itchy areas behind his knees and in the bends of his elbows. They are also on his back and thighs. The areas are aggravated by heat and water. One doctor said probably psoriasis, but nothing has helped. His other grandmother has rheumatoid arthritis and took a lot of prednisone during her pregnancy with the baby s father. Is there a connection? The father dislikes heat and sweats easily. Hoe can we help the baby?
Your symptoms seem to be related to psoriasis.
I suggest you to use steroid cram for local application.
I also suggest you to visit a rheumatologist to confirm the diagnosis and plan the further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
