What Causes Red And Sore Throat Along With Red Patches On Palate?

I have had a red, sore throat now for about 4 weeks that comes and goes. My soft palate and uvula keep getting red patches on them that come and go along with white pus spots. My voice is also hoarse but again only on and off. I have headaches that come and go and I feel nauseous, but not all the time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Its suggesting a case of recurrent pharyngitis. If voice is hoarse then there is a chance of involvement of vocal cords which can be relieved by voice rest.
You have not mentioned whether there is any associated fever or cough as these are important for diagnosis. Pharyngitis may be due to viral or bacterial origin. Mild pharyngitis may respose with hot water gargle but major ones need antimicrobial therapy.
Moreover reddish ovula and oral mucosa can be due to a lot of causes. You tonsils also have to be checked up. Clinical examination is necessary for prescribing a proper antibiotic. Otherwise you can try garge and voice rest conservatively.
