General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems to be an abscess and it can be a cold abscess, if no fever is there.
It can be a simple induration without pus collection, such condition may take little longer time for cure or for subsiding the induration or the swelling.

Bacterial infection could be the cause, cold abscess demands the medical attention, because it can be due to "Mycobacterium".

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain,
