What Causes Red Blood Spots And Pain All Over Legs?
Hi.After a long day on me feet yesterday standing on cold concrete floor, I noticed red blood spots come up all over my legs. They re achy from standing but I haven t done anything else that might trigger it like shaving, swimming, walking in long grass. Same washing powder. Do you have any ideas? I m a female aged 35. Thank you
Unfortunately I cannot see the legs, but it sounds like petechiae. These are small bleedings into the skin from the most tiny blood vessels, called capillaries. Should you take blood-thinners in high doses that would be a possible side effect. However, if you don’t take blood thinners you need to see your doctor asap. He/she will have to check your blood for possible conditions that cause this symptom. Please take this advice seriously, petechiae can be harmless, but often they are associated with more severe conditions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
