What Causes Red Blotches On The Scalp While Treating ADHD And Depression?
My son has 2 splotchy red areas on the back of his scalp under his hair. It is red and has some scaliness to it. It might be eczema, it might be a mild psoriasis. I've read online about emuaid, but it's very expensive. I like the fact that it's natural...my son is also on 3 medications, one for depression, one for anxiety and last for ADHD. What do you recommend? It will probably take a while before we get in to see a doctor...
** Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern
1. Since psoriasis-eczema is/are aggravated by Stress and disturbed Immune system [bipolar disorder in him] thus can be the possibility in him, and since it is very difficult to diagnose the condition online thus it will be wise to consult a Dermatologist for the same.
2. Children with ADHD are more likely to have additional psychiatric condition mainly anxiety disorder and it is well established that medicine helpful for controlling ADHD exacerbates symptoms of Anxiety and vise versa.

So apart from Medicines it is the cognitive and behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, meditation, which can help calm the nervous system and allow patient(s) to live to the fullest.
