What Causes Red Bumps On Back Side Of Tongue Along With Metallic Taste?
hi i m having red bumps on both back side of the tongue and a metallic taste,few days back i got my wisdom tooth removed as it was angulated(as per the dentist impacted 28)
firstly i had pain in the mouth and a spot in the wall of the mouth from where the wisdom tooth was removed now it is healed it does not pain but i have red bumps and metallic taste and my mouth looks awful i have been consulting dentist she says i have nothing to worry but i have never seen such condition of my mouth previously,now the only problem i see sometimes i have pain in the teeth not while eating a different sensation is there and red bumps on back of tongue and metallic taste, and from where the spot was healed it is something of white skin but it doesnt pain now......please help me as i m really worried about it or should i not worry as my dentist said ...i dont smoke or drink

As per your complainred bumps at the back of the tongue and metallic taste in mouth can be due to aside effect of the medicines given to you post extraction..
The bumps at the back of tongue can be due to inflamed Circumvallete Papillae which contains taste buds and these Papillae are normally also slightly raised, so better consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
The bad taste can be due to side effect of medicine while other causes can be infection in the region of extraction socket..
The white spot can be due to injury to the mucosa by extraction instrument and it will heal gradually on its own..
Nothing to worry consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and get treated accordingly..
As of now use a menthol or mint flavored mouthwash to gargle ..
Drink plenty of water..
