What Causes Red Bumps On Penis Head While On Antibiotics For Epididymis Pain?
My son has a red tip of his penis and pin point red areas dots on penis. All std work up negative. He was on an antibiotic for epididymis groin pain. Finished course - still pain on and off. On Doxacillin now not sure what is going on ? Ultrasound negative for hernia
Based on the history you have shared, Doxycycline may be continued for two weeks and single dose of Ceftriaxone or Azithromycin may also be needed. A dermatologist review or a urologist review should be sought to rule out genital herpes. In that case, antiviral may be needed and antibiotics may not be helpful. Detail TORCH screening or STD testing may be repeated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
