What Causes Red Bumps On Upper Arm?

Dear Doctor, i woke up after sleeping over a friends house with bumps all over my upper arms they are red and inflammed and theres quiet a few of them it was instant they got a worse, they are undescribably ichtchhhhhhh . i tried to put Gold bond antitich medicated cream on it, but it will only take the itch away not take them away. when you really look at them they look like mesquito bites,i dont know what to do please helppppppp!!!
