What Causes Red Color Urine Along With Painful Urination?
Hi. Just this morning I went to go to the bathroom, and it hurt a little when I urinated. My urine was a little red too. I went to school, and I asked a nurse about what it could be, and she gave me water and told me to drink a lot of water to flush it out. I went to the bathroom at least 4-5 times throughout the day, and it didn t hurt at all to urinate, and there was no blood either. What should I do?
Hello and thank you for the question! I dont think that you have a serious problem.Different people experience unusual color as a side effect of medications, from eating certain foods, from dehydration, or from medical conditions such as liver disease. Your red urine, may be caused by blood,in one of these conditions:an infection, kidney disease, cancer, or an enlarged prostate in men.But in your case i think that you might have an infection or a small stone which has been throught out while you were urinating. Also remember if you have eaten:blackberries, beets, and rhubarb because they also cause red urine.Anyway,if you realize that your urine is still red and hurts, you should consult your doctor.I agree with your nurse, you should drink plenty of water to flush it out! Best regards!
