What Causes Red Discomfort Rashe On Thigh Inspite Of Tattooing?

I recently got a tattoo on my thigh. It seems to have healed pretty well but in the 3rd week I ve noticed there s a clumped rash on the tattoo. Its like little red spots and itchy. Its causing me great discomfort and I m worried it s going to ruin the tattoo.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Surely it is a case of Allergic contact dermatitis to Tattoo Ink.

I would suggest topical application of a potent topical steroid e,g clobetasol propionate (Tenovate cream) twice daily over the affected area for a few days

An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg once daily would provide symptomatic relef from itching.

regards
