You have not mentioned anything about your past history or illness. Presently you are having swelling in your legs. Swelling in the legs with pitting edema are indicative of water retention in the body. Medical conditions associated with such symptoms are chronic venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, lymphedema, heart or kidney diseases, etc.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get blood workouts, CT / MRI done to detect the factor causing the symptoms. You will be treated accordingly. Make healthy lifestyle changes. Cut on salty food, avoid high salt diet, cut on carbs, sugars, refined flour and addictions id any. Stay away from trans fat and oily food. Maintain healthy BMI, avoid sedentary lifestyle and do regular walking.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
